What this site collects, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. The short version: a contact form, two podcast sign-up forms, a free resume checker that works inside your browser, Google Analytics, and nothing sold to anyone.
Who runs this site
trafficvitals.com is the personal website of Utkarsh Gour, an SEO professional based in Pune, India. I decide how the information described here is used. To ask anything about it, email ai.utkarshx@gmail.com.
What I collect
When you use the contact form. Your name, work email, message and site URL. They are saved in this site’s WordPress database and emailed to my Gmail inbox, so I can reply. I use them only to answer your enquiry and follow up on it.
When you browse. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, records which pages you view, how you arrived (a search engine or another site), your approximate location (country and city), your device and browser type, how far you scroll, file downloads, clicks on links to other sites, and whether a form was sent. It does not record what you type into any form. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data sharing with other Google products and Google signals are both switched off.
When you pitch for the podcast or join the launch list. The guest form saves your name, work email, role and company, LinkedIn or website link, and your pitch. The launch list saves only your email address. Both are kept in this site’s WordPress database. I use pitches only to consider and arrange episodes, and the launch list only to email you when episode 1 is out and when new episodes follow. You can leave the list at any time by replying to one of those emails or writing to ai.utkarshx@gmail.com.
When you use the resume checker. The resume checker reads and checks your file inside your browser. The file is not uploaded to this site or stored anywhere.
When you publish a portfolio page. If you choose to publish one, the details in the form are saved in this site’s WordPress database and shown publicly on your page at trafficvitals.com/portfolio/your-name. Your email address and phone number are saved only if you choose to show them. Search engines can list your page unless you switch that off; then it is marked noindex and left out of the sitemap. To limit spam, the site keeps a coded (hashed) form of your IP address with each page, not the address itself, and counts publishes per connection for one day.
To run and protect the site. My web host, Hostinger, and my network and security provider, Cloudflare, process your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, in order to deliver the pages and to block attacks.
Fonts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page opens.
WhatsApp. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which Meta runs. Anything you send there is covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Why, and on what basis
- Replying to you, because you asked me to (and, under GDPR, my legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
- Podcast pitches and the launch list, because you asked to be considered or to be told when episodes are out (your consent). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Portfolio pages, because you asked me to publish them (your consent). Deleting your page withdraws it.
- Analytics, to see which pages people read. In the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland it runs only with your consent. Elsewhere it runs by default and you can switch it off below.
- Security logs, to keep the site available and safe (legitimate interest).
Cookies and your choice
_gaand_ga_V5P1SVMCTN: Google Analytics, to tell one visit from the next. They last up to two years.- Cloudflare security cookies, such as
__cf_bm, may be set to tell people from bots. They are strictly necessary and short-lived. - Your cookie choice is saved in your browser’s local storage as
tv_consent. It is not sent to me.
If you are in the UK, the EU, the EEA or Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept. Wherever you are, you can change your choice here:
You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
Who else handles it
- Google: Analytics, Tag Manager, Fonts, and Gmail, where contact-form messages arrive.
- Hostinger: hosts the site, on servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare: delivers and protects the site.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you message me there.
These providers may process data outside India and outside your country, including in the United States. I do not sell your data, run ads or remarketing, send newsletters, or share your details with anyone else.
How long I keep it
Contact-form messages: for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it. Ask and I will delete them sooner. Podcast pitches: while they are being considered and, for guests, for as long as their episode stays published. Launch list addresses: until you leave the list. Portfolio pages: until you delete them with your private edit link, or ask me to, or I remove a page that breaks the rules on the resume checker page. Deleting a page removes it from the database at once. Analytics data: 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent to analytics. Email ai.utkarshx@gmail.com and I will act on it within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the EU and are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to your data protection authority. In India, write to the same address about any grievance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
This site is for professionals. It is not aimed at anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
