Rehired to build the content engine
iMocha is a skills-assessment SaaS. I worked there twice: first as one of the company’s earliest digital hires, then rehired by the CEO four years later to run SEO properly. The second stint is the one with the numbers — a content engine running at fifteen articles a week, and a full site migration completed inside a month.
What I did
- Identified 200+ bottom-of-funnel keywords in the first month, which set the order everything else was built in.
- Scaled content production to fifteen SEO articles a week, managing 10+ content agencies to get there. That volume was the primary driver of the traffic growth.
- Migrated the website in a single month, working from an SEO audit against an Azure staging environment.
- Wrote and shared 50+ UX/UI recommendation documents with the product and design side, so the SEO work did not stop at the template.
- Partnered with the brand team on PR pitching, and ran one experiment per quarter.
- Led a team of 4 SEO specialists, 4 content writers and 1 CRM specialist.
The result
Website traffic grew 40%, with the content programme as the main driver, and all quarterly goals were overachieved.
